Boca Raton Museum of Art is Buzzin’ With Cultural Fun

The Boca Museum of Art features numerous exhibitions and permanent collections from established and rising artists including works of art by what their website has referred to as, “great masters”. It offers educational programs, artist lectures, films, classes for children, and events throughout the year.

This art museum located in Mizner Park is one of South Florida's premier cultural institutions. Founded by artists, the Boca Raton Museum of Art was established in 1950 as the Art Guild of Boca Raton. For groups of 15 or more, the Boca Raton Museum of Art offers discounted admission with a guided tour. It offers educational programs, artist lectures, films, classes for children, and events. On the first Sunday of every month, the museum offers free admission. A newsletter titled "Muse" is published bi-annually and is available for download on the museum's website.

The museum holds includes more than 1,500 images. According to their website and reviews, “The museum offers a nice reprieve from the Florida heat and the photography collection "first-class." Travelers recommended visiting on the first Sunday of every month, that way people can get free admissions.

The museum is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on weekends from noon to 5 p.m. (it is closed on Mondays). Admission for adults costs $12; children 12 and younger get in for free. If you time your visit for the first Sunday of the month, you'll enjoy complimentary admission. Free parking is available in Mizner Park's four garages.
