New Yorker’s May Want to Migrate to Miami to Eat at STEVE’S PIZZA

Since 1974, ‘Steve’s Pizza’ in North Miami has been serving some of the best slices in Miami.

This place can literally get jam-packed with customers for dinner, so I’d recommend going around lunchtime. Also, the parking is very limited, and it’s quite normal to park and walk a distance.

‘Steve’s Pizza’ has some of the biggest slices I’ve seen anywhere. The slices are so big, they have to use two full-size paper plates to hold your one slice. The crust is really soft yet not too crunchy, and the topping selections are endless. They top your slice with large amounts of toppings, so they’re quite generous with how much they give you on one slice. I really love the thin and crispy slices with a little hint of sweet tomato sauce.

At first, the place may not seem all that fancy (pretty much every pizzeria you’ve seen on TV), but the food is top notch. Steve’s goes just beyond pizza. They also have other Italian cuisines such as pasta, eggplant parm subs, wings, and more. Whenever I do not order pizza, I usually get the eggplant parm. It is very filling, fresh, loaded with ooey-gooey cheese, and the best I’ve ever had. Their garlic rolls also get some attention. The rolls with a salad look great, and the rolls have enough garlic on them to fight off the most vicious vampire.

The little cozy filled urban booths decorated with endless graffiti art and stickers from customers through the years makes the place feel easy going.

I personally have a good time at looking at the graffiti from past customers. Seeing the names of people, couples, businesses, social media accounts, and more while I wait to eat, or you can play a game of Pac-Man or read the ‘Miami New Times’ Newspaper.

Steve’s special includes meatballs, ham, pepperoni, and peppers. I made small talk with a New Yorker, I asked how he felt about Steve’s while stuffing his face and wiping tomato sauce off his upper lip replied, “Impressive.”

For you night owls who have the late night munchies, Steve’s is open until 3 a.m. on the weekdays and deliver.

I'd recommend this place to anyone and if you have a family or friend visiting from out of town, this is a great place to show them and hang out for a bite and a pizza coma you’ll be happy you had.
