South Florida is loaded with sushi joints and they all seem to be on every block. However, Sushi Song is more than just a quick sushi bite and grub hangout. Sushi Song is all about late night sushi munchies and more.

Sushi Song has a few locations, one being in Fort Lauderdale and the other in South Beach Miami. The Fort Lauderdale location is small. It’s just a couple of tables inside and a couple of small tables outside, plus the counter.

I believe much of their business is take-out and or delivery. If you’d like to reserve tables or plan your visit, I would suggest that. If you want a more relaxed feeling while you eat, I would also suggest the Fort Lauderdale location. The Sushi Song decor is red and black accents with a brick wall, it has a concrete floor, track lighting, colorful paintings, and a sushi bar with red chairs.

Since their opening in 2009, Sushi Song has served South Florida nightlife with top-quality sushi rolls for your taste buds. They are open from lunch all the way until four a.m.

Enjoy your rolls with fresh sake, plum wine, and vino, to help you relax in their mellow environment. Options range from appetizers, salads, soups, and their signature rolls. Appetizers include seaweed salad, miso soup, and Spicy Tuna Tartar (spicy tuna topped with black tobiko, scallion served with crackers).

The rolls are on the higher-end around $15 to $20. Their famous sushi roll known as the A1A cost $22 and it is an inside-out sushi roll loaded with lobster, avocado, cilantro, and spicy mayo topped with seared wild salmon and special sauce.

Different locations may have some different menu options, but the Dragon Roll can be found at all locations. The Dragon Roll is $10 of shrimp tempura, cucumber topped with avocado, eel sauce and spicy mayo. I’m a big fan of Dragon Rolls, on the other hand, I’d recommend the Rainbow Roll (tuna, salmon, white fish and avocado on top of California roll), the Spider Roll (soft shell crab tempura, avocado, masago and cream cheese topped with eel sauce and spicy mayo), or the Volcano Roll (baked mixed fish, masago and scallion on top of California roll served with eel sauce).
