MEET

Nile Fortner

WELCOME

When Nile Fortner doesn’t have a mouthful of oozing moist chocolate-coated cake, Nile is a multimedia journalist. Nile is a Multimedia Journalism major from Florida Atlantic University and he is a South FL resident. Nile, who has also been featured in VoyageMIA’s Miami’s Inspiring Stories and Shoutout Miami, is a contributing writer, interviewer, and critic, for BocaWatch, Cinephellas, Fort Lauderdale MagazineWe Live Entertainment, My South Florida Today, ComicAttack, SFLStyle South Florida Magazine, and more.

Nile has had a passion for writing since grade school and he has become a helping hand through his passion. His knowledge of multimedia has given him the ability and will-power to turn his passion into a form of progress. Nile has gone beyond just growing his writing skills and he has expanded himself into doing videos, interviews, and podcasting as well.

Even though Nile has been affiliated with more entertainment aspects, for instance, covering local comic book conventions and other local features, he has also touched upon politics and environmental stories. One example of this would be the recent invasion of invasive plant species in South FL for BocaWatch and how those invasive plants are a concern for our ecosystem.

Nile would love to continue to do these things and he believes he would be most successful going into a written profession, such as feature articles, magazine writing, online publications, and news reports for local publications. Mainly because it is what he has grown accustomed to and what people have mostly enjoyed from him.

Nile also enjoys movies, books, arts and culture, and Nile likes social media hashtags because they look like waffles…c’mon! Nile can also be found here at his blog and overall, Nile believes he is a good, kindhearted person.  He is always trying to get a better understanding of people to get a better understanding of himself.

“People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on Earth. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don’t even recognize: a blue sky, white clouds, green leaves, the black, curious eyes of a child — our own two eyes. All is a miracle.” – Thich Nhat Hanh
